I know this is the second article today but “Ain’t Too Proud, The Life and Times of the Temptations” is such a great show that I felt it deserves your attention.

This weekend the Pioneer Theater is showing Ain’t Too Proud, The Life and Times of the Temptations. 

We had the pleasure of seeing Ain’t Too Proud, and I can tell you this is one of the best shows I have seen. The stories behind the Temptation’s hit songs and the group’s struggles to become chart-toppers are inspiring. We all know the music, but do you know the personalities behind the songs?

Ain’t Too Proud, The Life and Times of the Temptations is much more than expected. The music is incredible, with a live band and singers who embody the artists who created the music. The performers were so good that we felt that we grew to know and respect the original members of the group when the performance was over.

The story behind the group goes into the power of Motown and the blending of musical styles that were, at times, hard for some to embrace. These challenging times are reflected in the group’s interpersonal relationships and the inspiration behind the timeless music. Listening to the music of the Temptations is more profound when we know the behind-the-scenes stories.
