During this Artown season, Bruka Theater is offering “The Untamed”; a high paced 99 scenes (offering 33 scenes each performance, picked by the audience). If this seems like a daunting performance for the cast, then you are right! This level of high-intensity performances can only be accomplished by actors with mad skills, and these actors have those skills, and then some.

Each scene is a story in itself with comedic twists that are certain to entertain. Each scene is about 5 minutes, so the pace is frenetic.

The 99 scenes were written by local performers and writers, some of whom are performing in “The Untamed”. The 33 scenes I saw last night were very funny, and it makes me want to see the other 66 scenes. “The Untamed” is a true collaboration of creative artists who are passionate about theater.

“The Untamed” was created by Bud Perry, a local writer, and performer who is no longer with us but will always be remembered by the Reno theater community.

Directed by Stacy Johnson & Ryan Kelly, this is a tight and fine example of just how good the theater community is in the Reno/Sparks area.

Check out the photos for a taste of what you will see when you enjoy “The Untamed”.
