Bicentennial Park Call for Temporary Sculpture

The Project is OPEN to artists in a western regional area encompassing Nevada, California, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Arizona with experience in public art projects.

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission, in collaboration with The Reno Downtown is seeking artists for a two-year temporary installation of sculptural work in Bicentennial Park, immediately east of Ralston Street between First Street and the Truckee River, in downtown Reno.

 

Goals of this project include: transforming a park into a home for temporary sculpture exhibitions; increase public awareness of art; broaden viewers’ perspectives of public spaces within the City and foster a sense of place.
