I went to work for the Riverside Press – Enterprise in Riverside\, California as a staff artist. I worked for newspapers and advertising agencies until I moved to Nevada in 1974. \nMy passion has always been the West\, especially horses. I have traveled all over the West\, mostly on horseback. I work from my own reference material\, my own photos or personal experience. I draw with graphite\, ink\, and colored pencil. I paint with acrylic\, oil\, and watercolor. I recently built a 700-square-foot studio and gallery on my house in Washoe Valley. \nI can be reached there at 775 443 8558. I also have a retail gallery at the Nevada Marketplace in the Reno Town Mall. 4001 S. Virginia St. Or at the Artist’s Co-Op at Wells and Mill St. Reno\, Nevada.

Using real life examples from NASA and other sources with education as their focus\, we will discuss how tabletop role-playing games have been used to teach history\, science\, and other critical skills in the classroom and beyond. \nHumanities at Play explores and showcases the significance of the humanities in everyday life through games\, media\, and popular culture. She serves as the director of the Storytelling Collective\, a global online writing program for independent creative storytellers. Ashley is best known for her immersive\, atmospheric storytelling that she lends to both games and fiction\, and she is passionate about exploring themes of culture\, identity\, and folklore in her work. She holds a Masters in Literacy Studies from the University of Nevada-Reno.
