SUMMARY:The Producers: A Mel Brook's Musical
DESCRIPTION:How do you create a flop on Broadway? \nIf you’re Mel Brooks\, you start with a scheming con man (Max Bialystock)\, add in a mousy accountant (Leo Bloom)\, then introduce them to a pigeon-loving Nazi and his script for a gloriously offensive musical\, “Springtime for Hitler\,” and finally\, sprinkle in an eager blonde bombshell! It’s a recipe for failure. But in this laugh-out-loud comedy\, unexpected success throws Max and Leo into a downward spiral\, with unexpected consequences. Crazy caricatures and camp spectacle come together to produce a wonderfully tasteless evening of entertainment. The in-your-face humor includes high-kicking stormtroopers\, a flock of pigeons\, hand puppets\, and little old ladies dancing with walkers. It’s sure to be a flop! We mean\, hit! \nBeware: this show is not for the weak of heart\, (or for youth under 16; discretion advised). \nCast List\nMax Bialystock: Ryan Kelly\nLeo Bloom: Ryan Costello\nRoger Debris: Michael Davanzo\nUlla: Zoe McCracken\nFranz Liebkind: Jared Lively\nCarmen Ghia: Aiden Lyramor\nEnsemble: Rachel Anderson\, Noah Boston\, Emzy Burroughs\, Ora Harris\, Denny Hope\, Bryce Hurley\, Glynis Irving\, Noah Jackson\, Angel Kominsky\, Mary Beth Lavender\, Wendy Lyramor\, Kelsy Mato\, Alex Mead\, Jacob Nichols\, Sasha Rodriguez\, Sam Shepherd\, Erin Vashista\, Alyssa von Eberstein\, Trevor Young \nRobert Z Hawkins Amphitheater\nBartley Ranch\, Reno\nAll Shows Start at 7:30 pm\nFriday and Saturday\, August 8th and 9th\nThursday-Sunday\, August 14th-17th\nFriday and Saturday\, August 22nd and 23rd \nPricing\nVIP Reserved: $65.00\nADA Seating : $40.00\nPremium Center: $40.00\nPremium Left: $40.00\nPremium Right: $40.00\nADA Row H right: $30.00\nADA Row H right: $30.00\nGallery – Center: $30.00\nGallery Left: $30.00\nGallery Right: $30.00\nUpper Gallery Center: $25.00\nUpper Gallery Left: $25.00\nUpper Gallery Right: $25.00\nLawn – General Admission : $20.00\nLawn -General Admission : $20.00\nLawn seating – General Admission : $20.00 \nRUNNING TIME\n2.25 hours with 15 minute intermission

SUMMARY:Your Skin is a Kaleidoscope Curated by City Artist\, Jordyn Rae Owens & Of the Sol Collective
DESCRIPTION:July 21- September 12\, 2025 Reception: Thursday\, August 14th from 5 pm-7 pm \nYour Skin is a Kaleidoscope invites local Black\, Indigenous\, and Artists of Color to reflect on\nthe breadth of their stories and experiences\, whether lived or ancestral\, beautiful or\npainful\, and respond to the idea with a piece of art that communicates insights and\nperspectives that arise from this introspection\n“Our skin carries the scars and bruises of our past. But\, our skin is abundant. It has the\npower to regenerate and repair old wounds. People often mistake our skin for being\nmonotone\, different shades of one color. But\, if you pay enough attention\, you’ll see how\nthe light dances and refracts off our skin\, like radiant blessings from our ancestors. And if\nyou look closely\, for every red\, violet\, blue\, green\, or yellow hue\, there is a breadth of\nstories\, histories\, and lessons transmuted from the past to help us create brighter\ntomorrows.”\n“Of the Sol” is a collective of Black\, Indigenous\, and Artists of Color cultivating an\nintersectional space for all BIPOC artists. The goal of the collective is to foster autonomy\,\nrepresentation\, inclusivity\, equity\, and accessibility for BIPOC artists. It’s a space of\nreclamation and revival\, and we work towards collective action through the media of art.\nLocated on the first floor of City of Reno City Hall\, The Metro Gallery is one of three galleries\noperated by the City of Reno. SUMMARY:Artist In Action
DESCRIPTION:Stop by Darkshot Coffee\, grab a hot or cold beverage\, check out local art\, and meet the Artist In Action: \nLinda Parisi \nTuesday\, August 19\, 2025\, from 9 am-12 pm \nLocated at:\nDarkshot Coffee\nIn the lobby\, 300 E. 2nd St.\, #101\nReno\, NV 89501 \nAbout The Artist: \nI have been painting off and on for about 20 years. I work mostly in watercolor but dabble in soft pastels\, oil\, and acrylic. I am a member of the Sierra Watercolor Society and Northwest Watercolor Society. I have won awards at many shows in Washington as well as national shows. I have had a small article published in Sketchbook magazine as well as being on the cover of Country Pleasures Magazine two times. I have been published on the front page of Senior Sunset Times. I have held various positions on boards of art associations over the years. I have a permanent display of cars and motorcycles at the LeMay Family Collection at Marymount\, in Tacoma\, WA. I volunteered at an assisted living facility for many years and helped residents paint in acrylic. I specialize in classic cars and motorcycles but also help people remember vacation trips by painting from their photos. Much of my work is commissions but I paint what I love so much when not painting commissions. I’m pleased to be an artist and have collectors in Japan\, many states in the USA\, and Canada.
