Notre Dame Burns. The World Weeps.
By Norm Robins
Today, Monday, April 15, 2019, Notre Dame Cathedral, an 850 year-old marvel of stone and flying buttresses and the most beautiful aspirations of man caught fire. The spire burned and collapsed through the roof into the Cathedral itself. Our hearts go out, not only to the good people of France, but to each and every person who values the heritage our Western Civilization gives us simply for the asking and asking nothing in return.
The most heartfelt sentiment we can offer comes from France itself. It features the hunchback of Notre Dame. Most of us won’t understand the French language in the piece, but without a doubt we will understand the sentiment.
