Reno Urban Photography Comp 2023.
Reno Arts News is proud to announce the Reno Urban Photography Comp 2023.
Reno is a vibrant and visual city. We invite photographers to show us how they see Reno through the viewfinders of their cameras.
You can enter up to 3 photos in each category, with three winners in each category.
The winners will be featured on the Reno Arts News website and social media and in a gallery show at the Makers Paradise Gallery in September.
All approved entries will be in the gallery show in September
Here are the two categories.
Urban Landscapes and Street Photography
Urban Landscapes are photographs where people are not the primary focus.
Street Photography is where people are the primary focus. These photos should be in good taste and without nudity or taking advantage of others.
For the gallery exhibit, you can have up to three images up to 11 X 14.
Your artwork must be ready to hang with the following guidelines.
D rings and wire, no saw tooth hangers or any other type of hardware.

Rules
Reno Urban Photography Comp 2023
1.1. To qualify to enter the Comp, you must be over 18 years old.
1.2. By entering the Comp, you hereby accept these comp rules.
1.3. Entries must be submitted no later than the deadline listed on the Competition URL,
1.4. The Comp is open to everyone 18 years and older, professional and amateur photographers alike.
1.5. By entering the Comp, you agree and acknowledge that Reno Arts News is permitted to receive and review your registration data. Participants agree that personal data, including, but not limited to, name, mailing address, phone number, and email address, may be collected, processed, stored, and otherwise used for the purposes of conducting and administering this photo comp.
2.1. To enter the Comp, you must submit your entries to the Competition URL, https://form.jotform.com/231975336607059
3.1. All entries will be reviewed and pre-screened by our editors and judges. The judges will choose the winners. The decisions of the judges are final.
3.2. The full name of each entrant whose work is selected as a winner, judge’s pick, or finalist will be published online.
4.1. Reno Arts News reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and remove any photograph that does not comply with the following requirements, even after the photograph appears on the Website. You warrant, in respect of the photographs submitted by you, as follows:
4.1.1. You are the sole copyright owner and creator of the photographs.
4.1.2. You have the right to enter your photographs in this Competition.
4.1.3. To the best of your knowledge, the photographs do not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content.
4.1.4. To the best of your knowledge, the photographs do not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
4.1.5. The photograph does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity or violate any person’s rights of privacy or publicity, and your photograph does not include:
4.1.5.1. trademarks owned by third parties.
4.1.5.2. copyrighted materials owned by third parties.
5.1. Reno Arts News recognizes that you retain full ownership of the copyright in each photograph you have submitted.
6.1. All entrants agree that all photograph(s) submitted to the Comp may be reproduced (with photographer copyright credit) and used to conduct and promote Reno Arts News comps. You hereby grant Reno Arts News the right to use submitted photographs in the framework of such promotional activities.
7.1. You acknowledge that Reno Arts News and its event partners assume no responsibility and are not liable for any image misuse.
8.1. In no event will Reno Arts News, its members, event partners, or its officers, directors, and employees be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of any contestant’s access to and use of the Website and participation in the Comp. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, everything on the Website is provided “as is, “without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose or use, or non-infringement.
9.1. You agree to participate in related publicity and to the use of your name and winning images for the purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity.
