Doctor X is a certifiable, industrial-strength nogoodnik making Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi look like Mary Poppins. She sees her face like a squirming bowl of worms. I have no idea what that means. Okay, let’s take it to mean that she does not see herself as a good looking gal. The love of her life (the nurse) has a face like a china plate. Maybe that means she has a face like a beautiful piece of Wedgewood china, like a creamy white cameo against a field of pale, delicate blue. Okay, that makes sense. Let’s go with that one, too.

The Nevada Museum of Art has opened the “Georgia O’Keeffe” exhibit. This exhibit is indeed a stunning and inspirational exhibit.
The “Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern,” will be on display through October 20.
Check out the video where Amanda Horn takes us on an in-depth tour of the exhibit. The Biography is a great read a well.

August 12, 2019August 12, 2019 Dana Nollsch 0

A few days ago Mike Sion (Smiley Mikey) and I took a walk in Downtown Reno. We talked about his latest song, his next song, as well as his musical calling. I found it fascinating how he describes the process of creating the song and the video for the song “U Hate Love”.

Hello

Reno is rich in arts and culture, and at this time deep in transformation, changing from a gaming culture to an arts culture.

The arts are one of the staples for a healthy community and Reno is no exception.

Here at “Reno Arts News” we are striving to explore this culture and inform the Reno community of the dynamic opportunities to take part and enjoy this rich artistic environment. Just to be clear, we are also involved in Sparks, Carson City, Virginia City and other local communities as well, not just Reno.

To do this we have brought on board Artist and creative to share what they experience in Reno’s arts culture. Through Writing, Photography, Videography, and storytelling our goal is to entertain and inform.

We will explore Theater, Visual Arts, Spoken Word, Performance Arts, Street Arts, and Much More. To do this we will need your support, not only with your donations, but also your participation. Go see a play or attend an art opening. There are so many things to do each week.

We ask you to help us to grow “Reno Arts News” and at the same time support the arts culture in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and beyond.

We do appreciate anything you can give to help us entertain and inform our readers.

Dana Nollsch, Founder of Reno Arts news.
