Yes, and! .. The Comedy Collective’s “First Fridays”
~January 5th, 2018 kicked off The Comedy Collective’s “First Fridays” event series; a fresh, fast-paced and fierce improvised comedy show that performs every first Friday of the month at the Pioneer Underground. Specifically, the “First Fridays” event series caters to the improvised theatre styles of short-form skits and games, with an overall ambiance of “Whose Line is it Anyway”. And although the “First Fridays” events are specific to short-form improv comedy, The Comedy Collective has much more going on beyond the “First Fridays” event series. For example, other Comedy Collective projects include, corporate workshops that combine humor and skill-specific exercises utilized to create the perfect custom blend for your company, custom sketch performances for private events, interactive performance experiences such as Murder Mystery Theatre, and my personal favorite: class offerings! Whether you are interested in writing, sketch comedy, short-form improv, or classes for younger performers, The Comedy Collective has you covered! (Insider tip: classes are your best bet for learning the craft, networking with the troupe, and being a gateway for those wanting to perform with the Collective).
But who exactly is The Comedy Collective?! Oh, you know, just a local troupe of talented, smart, and seriously funny individuals on the mission of advancing the art form of comedy. The Collective’s powerhouse team is comprised of Amanda Alvey-Comedy Collective’s Founding Board Member and actor, Christopher Daniels-President and Head Writer/Director of the Murder Theater Division, Emily Skyle-Golden- award-winning director/writer and the Comedy Collective’s Chairman, Ian T. Sorensen-radio personality and Social Media Director for the Comedy Collective, Joseph Garton-Licensed educator and curriculum director for the Comedy Collective, Marki Ho-Comedy Collective’s Secretary and performer, Stacy Johnson-Vice President of The Comedy Collective and the Director of the Comedy Collective’s Sketch Division, David Gormley- Comedy Collective Treasure and performer; and featuring the musical musings and one-liners of Ian Callipydge.

Performances are brought to you by Reno Tahoe Comedy and performed at the Pioneer Underground. Doors at 6:00pm/Show at 6:30pm. Cost: $12 in advance, $15 at the door, Student and Military: $10 at the door only with ID.
