Old Stories Made New
| Lee Lanier Solo Exhibition Opens at Savage Mystic Gallery
Reno, NV — Savage Mystic Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new work by fine art painter Lee Lanier, on view January 8 through January 30 at the gallery’s Reno location. The exhibition features nine large-scale narrative paintings, each offering a contemporary reimagining of enduring stories drawn from mythology and history. The exhibition culminates in a public reception on January 30 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, with Lee Lanier in attendance. The reception is free and open to the public. The works in the show are acrylic on canvas, with individual paintings reaching monumental dimensions of up to 12 x 6 feet. Known for his cinematic compositions and layered storytelling, Lanier blends classical narrative structures with modern visual language. Each painting is further enhanced by an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) layer, accessible at no cost via smartphone, allowing viewers to engage with the work beyond the physical canvas. Based in Boulder City, Nevada, Lee Lanier’s practice bridges traditional painting with emerging technology, inviting audiences to reconsider familiar myths and historical narratives through a contemporary lens.
