‘Club Inferno’ is an energetic journey through the levels of hell, inspired by Dante’s Inferno. Written by local playwrights Kell Kittell and Peter Fogle, “Club Inferno” is an entertaining musical with local roots.

The Story of Club Inferno
As “Club Inferno” opens, we find Dante, played by Robin Soli, dancing on the club’s stage. Due to various circumstances, Dante finds herself in the first level of hell, which leaves her quite confused.
Soon, she discovers that she has a guide named Virgil, played by Sean Bridges, who is determined to help her navigate the many challenges ahead.
Virgil’s task becomes even more complicated when Xaron, portrayed by Bella Mason, does her best to confuse the situation. At the same time, Dante makes her way through the challenging paths of the various levels.
Much like in Dante’s Inferno, “Club Inferno” offers a lot to unpack. This is made easier with its sheer silliness.
Kell Kittell and Peter Fogle, the authors of “Club Inferno,” are heavily involved in this production. The writing is both clean and enjoyable, and the music, singing, and dancing are truly delightful.

What About the Performances
The performances are fun, you can tell that the actors are enjoying themselves, and that translates into the audience.
As Dante travels through the many layers of her journey, she encounters some people you will recognize. There are a few actors who play more than one role, and I truly got a kick out of seeing them stretch themselves and embody these infamous characters.
Everyone on stage was spot on in their performances, while also maintaining that sense of spontaneity. This ensemble cast truly does work hard during “Club Inferno.”
The Bottom Line
If you’re looking for a fun night out or an exciting date night, “Club Inferno” is for you.
Be aware that there is foul language and sexual situations. I hope that doesn’t stop you from seeing “Club Inferno” at Bruka Theatre.
