Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive
The rawness of the American political system is laid bare in Potus—a no-holds-barred comedic look into the complexity of the power of the presidency.

What About the Story
In Potus, you will find cigarette smoking, workplace violence, drug use, drug sales, the foulest of language this side of a pirate ship, extramarital affairs, wild west gunplay, and a few political shenanigans. If this was not enough, the story is tight and well-written. Combine that with great acting, and you have the recipe for a wonderfully hilarious night at the theater.
The basic story is that of a buffoon of a President who has an army of women surrounding him and doing their best to keep him safe from himself. There is also a crazy sister, a naive mistress, a stressed First Lady, and a few more dynamic characters.
Each of the characters in Potus has their own agenda, but at the end of the day, they all come together to take care of the president; well, you will see just how they take care of him.

How About the Performances
The actors took this chaotic story, filled with old-fashioned, door-slamming farce, and delivered plenty of belly laughs to their audience.
The pace is fast with physical comedy that the cast seems to thrive on.
The Bottom Line
If you are craving live theater with a hard comedic edge, then Potus is just what you are looking for.
Reno Little Theater is showing two plays on alternating weeks. One week, it is Potus, and the following week will be “Support Group for Men.” This sounds like a great combination, I will have a review of “Support Group for Men” next week.
